Friends of ours who were originally from NYC and who we met while visiting relatives in North Carolina told us that they really had all their work looked after and had done searches for movers NYC and NYC movers well beforehand as they knew there would be a large amount of work to be done.
This couple, Mimi and Marvin, have four boys and wanted to be closer to them so they ended up moving to NC a year or so ago. We wondered how they’d do as the husband wasn’t retired yet and was a chemist/inventor. They were able to find a much cheaper place to move into in North Carolina they told us, so they’d still be able to have thousands of bucks to put away for retirement purposes they felt.
But how do they like it where they’re now living in North Carolina, we wondered. They said they adore it and we noticed that both are now getting what sounds to be a southern “drawl.”
I think that’s pretty easy to pick up once somebody is encircled and immersed in it. It was hard to accept that they were actually from the NYC area to be honest, as they sure didn’t have a New York accent, we teased them. I told the wife, Mimi, that my hubby had a strong “drawl” when I married him, but as he ended up living in the north he now speaks like a “Yankee.” Or so he always was told by his mom and dad when we would visit them every so often.
We also wondered how they made out with the movers NYC they had employed, as in did everything go okay for their move down south? They told us that everything went so well it was really amazing to them. They only had one large moving van to worry about, though, as they purchased all new furniture down in NC at the outlets.
Laura Hawn has always loved NYC movers. She has written many articles on movers in NYC.
